He specializes in construction management with his 15+ years of experience delivering building and infrastructure projects, with expertise in community engagement, contract documentation and management, quality control, and stakeholder management, emphasizing community inclusiveness throughout all phases of engineering projects. Dr. Umair Munir Hashmi has been Leading our Research Team. He is a a highly accomplished researcher with a PhD in linguistics from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin Malaysia. He is recognized for his convincing analytical views and in 2023 was honored with the Best Malaysian Research Paper Award in Social Sciences. In addition to his research prowess, Umair is an avid reader with a broad knowledge of literature, which fuels his intellectual curiosity. He is also a skilled debater with a natural talent for presenting complex ideas with clarity and precision. Currently, Umair is leading the Research and Innovation Department at Mehnat-Kaar, where he continues to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the betterment of society through his work. Zubair Hashmi, the founder, and CEO of Mehnat-Kaar, was inspired to build his own business while working at engineering firms in Pakistan. He went on to create Alfa Concrete Strengtheners in 2007 and when forming Mehnat-Kaar in 2012, further expanded the scope to offer Humanitarian, Youth Empowerment, and Research and Innovation Services. With over 10 years of experience providing technical support in humanitarian shelters, settlements, post-disaster housing, and infrastructure recovery, I have honed my skills in designing and implementing humanitarian response strategies, coordinating efforts, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting various teams across multiple locations in high-pressure environments.
